How we check prices
Every price, plan limit and free-plan detail on Credence Intel is read on the vendor's own website and dated. Here is exactly how.
Primary sources only
We take prices and plan details from the vendor’s own pricing page, plan-comparison page or official help centre. We do not copy figures from review sites, price trackers or AI summaries. If a vendor’s page doesn’t show a figure (for example, a monthly price for a plan sold only annually), we show a dash rather than a guess.
Dated, and linked
Each tool card shows the date its prices were checked and links to the page we read. The current check covered all 29 tools on October 14, 2026. Prices are in US dollars as shown to a US visitor, unless the vendor publishes only another currency (n8n prices in euros).
How we keep prices current
An automatic checker visits vendor pricing pages every day and looks for the prices we publish. Every week we also re-read each pricing page in full, including pages that only load in a browser. If a price may have changed, the tool’s card says “Price under review” straight away. New figures go live only after they are confirmed on the vendor’s own page, and every published change is logged on our Price updates page.
When we can’t verify something
We leave it out. During our latest check, for example, Make’s credit slider returned inconsistent figures for high-volume tiers between page loads, so we publish only the 10,000-credit prices that were consistent. Where vendor pages contradict each other (Grammarly’s monthly price appears differently on two of its own pages), we publish only the figure that is consistent.
Offers and promotions
Where a price is a limited-time or new-customer offer (for example HubSpot Starter or Mailchimp Essentials), we say so next to the price and, where the vendor shows it, give the regular price too.
Calculations
Team totals, first-year costs and workload comparisons are simple arithmetic on published prices: seats × per-seat price, or offer months plus regular months. We state the assumptions next to each table. They exclude tax and add-ons.
Ratings
We publish no numeric ratings. If we test tools hands-on in future, we will publish the test method before any score.
Corrections
If you spot an error, email credence.intel@gmail.com. We’ll check the vendor’s page and correct the site.
